Instructions for Using Glasses
Care, storage and adaptation guidance for glasses with different lens types.
General care and safe-use rules
Following these rules helps preserve the frame, lenses, lens coatings and everyday wearing comfort.
Lens cleaning
Use a special glasses cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.
Do not wipe the glasses when they are dry.
Washing glasses
If needed, wash the glasses with water and liquid soap.
Do not use acetone, alcohol, antiseptics or solutions containing ammonia.
Storage
Store the glasses in a hard case with a soft inner lining.
Do not place the glasses lens-down on a hard surface.
Putting on and taking off
Put on and take off the glasses with both hands, or hold the frame by the bridge.
Do not pull the glasses off by one temple.
Temperature
Do not leave glasses in a car or under direct sunlight, especially above 35 °C.
Avoid overheating the frame and lenses.
Fogging
Use “No fog” spray or another anti-fog product recommended for glasses.
Do not use aggressive household cleaners.
Frame repair
If adjustment is needed, contact an optical workshop specialist.
Do not bend, straighten or tighten the frame yourself.
Steam, heat and fire
Remove glasses in a steam room, sauna, near open fire, during welding and before opening an oven.
Do not expose glasses to high temperature, steam or sparks.
Adapting to different lens types
Glasses with spherical lenses
Adaptation may take up to 2 weeks. During the adaptation period, stop using your old glasses completely. For faster adaptation, set aside 2–3 days for practice.
-
1
Start in the morning
The brain adapts to glasses faster in the morning, so we recommend putting them on right after waking up and taking them off at the end of the day.
-
2
First try — while seated
Put the glasses on for the first time while seated and avoid sudden head or eye movements. At the beginning, slight dizziness may occur and usually passes as you adapt.
-
3
Movement and looking down
When walking and needing to look down, lower your head so your eyes look through the center of the lens, not through its periphery.
-
4
Looking to the side
When looking sideways, try to turn your head so the image falls into the clearest vision zone.
-
5
Driving
Start driving only after mastering the first four exercises. Drive only when you can confidently focus at all distances. We recommend starting on roads with light traffic.
Glasses with astigmatic lenses

Glasses with progressive lenses
Adaptation may take up to 1 month. During the adaptation period, stop using your old glasses completely. For faster adaptation, set aside 2–3 days for practice.
-
1
Different distances
Focus at different distances: move your gaze from a phone or book to distant objects such as buildings, trees and signs. Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours per day on this.
-
2
Stairs and looking down
When walking on stairs, practise lowering your head and looking down through the upper part of the lens, not the lower part. Spend about 30 minutes per day on this.
-
3
Side vision
Practise focusing on objects located to the side. Remember to turn your head, because progressive lens design requires this habit. Exercise time: 20–30 minutes.
